9th Annual Lester Andrews Graduate Research Symposium: May 21-23, 2019!!!

OPENING SPEAKER: Dr. Lester Andrews, Professor Emeritus at the University of Virginia. Dr. Andrews graciously donated the funds to start the Symposium nearly a decade ago. His research focuses primarily on the field of matrix-isolation IR spectroscopy, and has resulted in the synthesis of molecules that exhibit novel electronic properties which allow for a greater understanding of how atoms in molecules form bonds.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Dr. Marcetta Darensbourg, a Davidson Professor of Science from Texas A&M whose research focuses on biologically inspired earth-abundant transition metal catalysts for fuel cells and other applications.
